With CarSkims.com, you can place your order online, via email, or over the phone. We just need a few pieces of information from you.

• What kind and size of vehicle would you like shipped
• Where will the vehicle be picked up? As well as any special reference information such as lot number, buyer number, available hours for pickup, or the last six digits of the VIN.
• Where will the vehicle be delivered? As well as contact information for the receiver, and any special notes such as hours available.
• Will there be loading/unloading assistance?

Once we have this information from you, we will quote you the price and get you the best deal possible from our extensive network of bonded and insured auto-transport carriers.

My vehicle is not operable or does not roll. Can you ship it?

Absolutely, we can arrange shipping for inoperable vehicles. However, depending on the condition of the vehicle, you may need to assist the driver with loading or unloading.
You are responsible for arranging loading equipment at pick-up and destination locations. If purchasing a vehicle at auction, the auction yard may be able to arrange loading at pick-up.
Please note: If you mark your vehicle as operable and it is not, additional costs or delays may be incurred.

Where can you ship to?

CarSkims-motion.com can ship vehicles anywhere, domestic or international We can ship to any address in the US where roads are wide enough to accommodate a large cargo truck.
If your street is too small for a large truck you can arrange for delivery to a nearby lot or shopping plaza.

How should I prepare my vehicle for shipping?

If the vehicle is being picked up from a business, dealer, or auction, make sure everything is paid for and that the vehicle will be released at pick-up. Ask the pickup location what will be necessary for the vehicle to be released to the driver (buyer #, reference #, lot #, invoice #, etc.). Make sure that the vehicle does not have anything inside during transit. If there will be items in the vehicle (such as auto parts), make sure we know about those items so that the driver may write down the item descriptions at pick-up. Please be aware that CarSkims-motion.com is not responsible for any lost, stolen, missing, or misplaced items.

What if I need to change my shipping order?

Contact CarSkims-motion.com right away if any changes need to be made to your shipping order. Some changes such as change of pickup or drop off address - may change the amount due. Once your vehicle is picked up, we can only change the destination.

What if I want to contact the driver delivering my vehicle?

You will receive the driver's phone number once we schedule pickup. The driver will contact you approximately two hours before delivery to confirm details.

Can I cancel a shipment?

You may cancel your shipment anytime before your vehicle has been picked up.
Once the vehicle has been picked up delivery cannot be canceled, we can only change the destination address. We will charge a cancellation fee if the order is canceled after we have received payment. Additional fees may be incurred for cancellation after a driver is assigned.

Can I order a new or duplicate key?

If your vehicle does not have keys, CarSkims-motion.com can order them for you for an agreed amount, depending on the car model.

Shipping is easy with CarSkims-motion.com! You can place your order online, via email, or over the phone. We just need a few pieces of information from you.

• Does the vehicle start or roll?
• Where will the vehicle be picked up? Let us know the address and contact information, as well as any special reference information such as lot number, buyer number, available hours, or the last six digits of the VIN.
• Where will the vehicle be delivered? We will need the address, contact information, and any special notes such as hours available.
• Will there be loading/unloading assistance? For vehicles purchased from auto auctions, assistance will typically available.

How do I pay for shipping?

You can pay for your shipping order with a credit or debit card or a bank wire transfer.
If you pay with a wire transfer, please e-mail us a copy of your wire transfer receipt once you've made payment. We won't be able to schedule pick up of your vehicle until payment for shipping is received in full.

Are there any additional fees?

Our shipping price covers all shipping related costs for your vehicle.
Our fee does NOT cover: driver wait time fees, storage fees or fees from delayed delivery, loading or unloading costs, and customs or duty fees.

What is the overall process to ship a vehicle within the US?

1) Go to CarSkims-motion.com and fill the shipment form to get your rates.
2) After you’ve received your quote, you can pay via major credit card or a wire transfer through your bank.
3) Our agents will work with you to deliver your vehicle. We’ll send you automatic notifications by text or email when the driver is assigned, when your car is picked up, and when it is delivered.
4) If the car cannot drive or roll, you are responsible for arranging proper loading equipment. If it rolls or drives easily, the driver will roll it off the truck for you at delivery.

Payment: How do I pay for shipping?

Domestic Shipping:
You can pay for your shipping order with any major credit card, or a bank wire transfer.
If you pay with a wire transfer, please e-mail us a copy of your wire transfer receipt once you've made payment. Only after payment is received by CarSkims in full will we be able to schedule the pick-up for you.

International Export:
You can pay for your shipping order only via bank wire transfer only. When you pay with a wire transfer, please e-mail us a copy of your wire transfer receipt. We can pick up your vehicle only after the vehicle has been paid for at auction and shipping has been paid in full.

Are there any additional fees?

Domestic Shipping
Our fee covers all shipping related costs for your vehicle.
Our fee does NOT cover auction fees, driver wait time fees, storage fees or fees from delayed delivery, loading or unloading costs.
Please arrange to be present for delivery or designate an agent to avoid additional fees.
International Export
Our shipping price covers all shipping related costs for your vehicle:
• Pick up from auction
• Delivery to warehouse
• Loading
• US customs clearance
• Documentation
• Export to port of destination
Our fee does not cover:
• Auction fees
• Driver wait time fees
• Storage fees or fees from delayed delivery
• Special auction loading
• Destination customs or duty fees
Additional fees for international shipping:

• Document handling fee
We have agents in many destination countries that can help you take care of customs and delivery from the destination port.

Can I just pay the driver when they deliver my car?

All payment must be upfront to CarSkims-motion.com and we will pay the driver after delivery.


Does it cost more to ship a car that does not drive?

We do not charge you more to ship a vehicle that doesn't drive. You may need to assist the driver with loading or unloading your vehicle. You are responsible for arranging loading equipment at pick-up and destination locations.

How can I cancel my order?

We offer a full refund for shipping orders that are cancelled prior to a driver being assigned. The cancellation must be received and confirmed by a staff member of CarSkims.com in order to be considered valid. Once the driver has been assigned delivery cannot be canceled, we can only change the destination address. Any shipping orders that have a driver assigned to them will be subject to a cancellation fee and a dry run fee.


Do you reimburse auction storage?

Yes, however our average pick up time is 1-5 business days after the paid invoice for the vehicle and payment for shipping is received. The vehicle invoice and payment for shipping must be received by 3pm PST. If received after 3pm PST, they will be considered as effective the following business day. *UPDATE: At this time, storage reimbursement is not applicable for international shipping orders due to congestion/delays at the ports across the USA.


How much do you reimburse?

We reimburse storage fees per business day after the 5th business day, through the day the vehicle is picked up from the auction. If storage fees are less than our prescribed amount per day, we reimburse the amount you were charged and all we need is a copy of your receipt with storage dates. If your shipping order is cancelled for any reason, we do not offer storage reimbursement. Inoperable, highly damaged and oversized vehicles, watercraft are not subject for storage reimbursement. Auction storage fees reimbursement is not applicable if delay was caused due to weather conditions (including but not limited to tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods) or Force Majeure


What do I need to show you for my refund?

We require a copy of your auction storage receipt. Please send a copy to info@CarSkims.com with your shipping order number and/or vehicle’s VIN in the subject line.


How will you send me my refund?

We issue refunds via the method with which you paid. Domestic wire transfers will be refunded by check, if you are an international customer please email info@CarSkims.com.


How long do refunds take?

Refunds by credit card will be issued within 3-5 business days (depending on financial institution) and wire transfers typically take 10 business days.

How quickly will my vehicle be picked up?

CarSkims’s normal pick-up window is 1-5 business days from payment, however these are estimates and pick up times may be affected by location or weather and CarSkims cannot guarantee a pick-up date and time.


What if my vehicle was supposed to be picked up one day and instead it was picked up the next?

All of our pick-up and delivery dates are best estimates. Our drivers work quickly and safely nationwide and around the clock. Many adverse conditions can affect actual pickup and delivery times. You can receive real-time updates on the most current status of your shipping order at any time in My Account.


Will you deliver to my house?

Yes, we can deliver domestic orders to any location within the contiguous US if the streets in your area are wide enough to accommodate the tow truck or trailer. If a semi-truck can pass through your street, it is probably wide enough for delivery. If not, we can arrange for delivery to a nearby parking lot or shopping plaza.


How soon will my vehicle be delivered?

We will deliver your vehicle as soon as possible, depending on the distance and the route.
• 1-2 days within the same state on average
• Up to 10 days from coast to coast on average
All delivery information we provide are best estimates and we cannot guarantee exact dates. Real-time shipping updates are available in My Account.
International delivery time depends on the distance and route to the delivery port. Please refer to the online shipping calculator for estimated sailing times.


Can someone else sign for my item if I am not available at delivery?

When arranging your shipping order, you can designate a family member or agent to sign for your vehicle.
If you choose not to designate an agent and you are not available to take the delivery, the vehicle will remain on the trailer for delivery at a later date or will be placed in storage in a nearby facility until you can arrange to pick it up. Vehicles placed in storage are subject to additional storage fees and auto-transport charges.


What happens if there is no one available to sign for my vehicle upon delivery?

You can designate an agent to sign for your delivery and take possession of the vehicle. If neither you nor an agent is present at delivery, the vehicle will remain on the truck or the driver will take the item to a nearby storage facility. You will be responsible for any additional fees.


What if my vehicle requires unloading assistance?

You are responsible for arranging loading and unloading of your vehicle. If you cannot unload the vehicle yourself, CarSkims.com may be able to arrange assistance for an additional cost. If purchasing a vehicle at auction, the auction yard may be able to arrange loading at pick-up. Please contact your auction yard directly.


How do I know when my item will be delivered?

Real-time shipping updates are available in My Account. We will also keep you updated via email with an estimated delivery date. For domestic orders, the delivery driver will contact you a few hours before he arrives at the destination to coordinate delivery. For international orders, you will receive a notice when the container arrives at the destination port.


Why is my shipment delayed?

We do our best to avoid shipment delays, but at times a shipment may be delayed due to issues such as weather conditions, closed roads, or police investigations in the area. You will be able to track your vehicle’s progress with tracking information provided when shipping is ordered. Additionally, we strive to let you know as soon as we are aware of a delay. If you are concerned that your shipment has been delayed, please contact us with your questions and we will be happy to check on your shipment’s status.


Who is responsible for storage fees?

In the event that additional storage is required, you will be responsible for any storage fees. CarSkims.com does not cover any storage fees, loading fees, unloading fees, or redelivery fees, or any other fees.


What type of auto-transport will be used to deliver my vehicle?

We have an extensive network of contracts with bonded and insured drivers all across the country. Our Drivers use a wide variety of equipment such as tow trucks, 3-car haulers, 9-car haulers, enclosed trailers, and open trailers. You can request a specific auto-transport vehicle type for your shipment when you place your order and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
